Showroom Sales Consultant/Designer – Bridgeville
The Showroom Sales Consultant/Designer is the conduit between the customer and Nicklas Supply, requiring a professional and courteous image at all times with the aim of making the customer feel important and valued. They foster a successful relationship endearing the customer to their business. The Showroom Sales Consultant/Designer must recommend and sell products based on the assessed needs of the customer.
Essential Duties
- Professionally and enthusiastically assist prospects and customers with a high level of professionalism under any circumstance
- Offer superior customer service and cultivate relationships with clients, remodelers, designers, builders, and architects to sell and develop future business utilizing effective selling skills
- Utilize strong interpersonal skills, selling skills, active listening, a professional attitude, and represent the company with integrity and professionalism
- Provide customers with a design layout and accurate square footage
- Maintain customer and contractor contact from design to delivery to ensure customer satisfaction
- Build and maintain a high level of product knowledge
- Describe the product and explain its use, operation, and care of the product to customers
- Recommend, select, and help locate or obtain products based on customer needs and desires
- Compute sales price, total purchases, and receive and process cash or credit payment
- Answer questions regarding the store and its product
- Prepare sales slips or sales contracts
- Maintain knowledge of current sales and promotions, policies regarding payment and exchanges, and security practices
- Maintain records related to sales
- Demonstrate the use or operation of the product when applicable
- Watch for and recognize security risks and thefts and know how to prevent or handle these situations
- Exchange products for customers and accept returns according to company policy
- Assist in overall upkeep and aesthetic appeal of the showroom by participating in the selection of products and contributing to the design of the showroom vignettes and displays
- Maintain organized and professional workstation
- Attend all mandatory team meetings and company meetings with a commitment to participating and contributing to the meeting as a committed team player
- Ensure all actions are in alignment with the company’s vision
- Knowledge and understanding of design trends
- Use all resources available to research and problem solve
- All other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Skills
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Ability to multi-task
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A high degree of professionalism
- Detailed-oriented and organizational skills
- A high degree of customer and personal service
- Strong mathematical skills
- Sales and marketing experience preferred
- Design experience preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills
