A Showroom Sales Consultant is responsible for selling and recommending products to their customers that meet or exceed their expectations. They are the conduit between the customer and Nicklas Supply – SPLASH The role always requires a professional and courteous approach with the goal of making customers feel important and valued. The ideal candidate is passionate about luxury design, excels in client interactions, and thrives in a collaborative, high-end showroom environment.

Essential Duties

  • Professionally and enthusiastically assist prospects and customers with a high level of professionalism under any circumstance 
  • Offer superior customer service and cultivate relationships with clients, remodelers, designers, builders, and architects to sell and develop future business utilizing effective selling skills 
  • Utilize strong interpersonal skills, selling skills, active listening, professional attitude, and represent the company with integrity and professionalism 
  • Provide customers with design layout with accurate square footage 
  • Maintain customer and contractor contact from design to delivery to ensure customer satisfaction 
  • Build and maintain a high level of product knowledge 
  • Describe product and explain use, operation, and care of product to customers 
  • Recommend, select, and help locate or obtain product based on customer needs and desires 
  • Compute sales prices, total purchases, and receive and process cash or credit payment 
  • Answering questions regarding the store and its product 
  • Prepare sales slips or sales contracts 
  • Maintain knowledge of current sales and promotions, policies regarding payment and exchanges, and security practices 
  • Maintain records related to sales 
  • Demonstrate use or operation of product when applicable 
  • Watch for and recognize security risks and thefts and know how to prevent or handle these situations 
  • Exchange product for customers and accept returns according to company policy 
  • Assist in overall upkeep and aesthetic appeal of the showroom by participating in the selection of products and contributing to the design of the showroom vignettes and displays a necessary 
  • Maintain an organized and professional workstation 
  • Attend all mandatory team meetings and company meetings 
  • Commitment to participating and contributing in meetings  
  • Being a team player 
  • Ensure all actions are aligned with the company’s vision 
  • Knowledge and understanding of design trends 
  • Use all resources available to research and problem solve 
  • Perform all other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications & Skills

  • College degree in Interior Design preferred 
  • Customer service and sales experience preferred 
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (Both verbal and written) 
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment  
  • Ability to follow instructions 
  • Detail-oriented with good organizational skills 
  • Willingness to learn about sales processes and product lines 
  • Basic computer skills: experience with Microsoft Office is a plus 
  • Professional attitude and appearance
